CURTAIN THEATRE -SUMMER 2013

The KING STAG

A comedy of trust, transformation and affairs of the Hart._

by Carlo Gozzi
Translated and Directed by Doyle Ott

"a charming comedic fable that provides an ample dose of silliness for a summer afternoon"_
- Sam Hurwitt, MarinIJ.

In summer 2013 the Curtain company explored great European theatrical traditions beyond Shakespeare. The King Stag is Carlo Gozzi's fairytale masterpiece featuring comic servants, princes and princesses, magicians and magical animals, brought to the stage with masks, puppets and the performance tradition of the commedia dell'arte.
